How do I order my magnets?

Pick your Edit, choose how many magnets you’d like, upload
your photos, and we do the rest. Quick, simple, and no proofs required.

Ordering is easy as 1-2-3 (okay, maybe 4).

  1. Pick your Edit: Choose the theme that fits your story — Travel, Love, Family, Heritage, Freestyle or Pet.
  2. Choose your set size: Go for 3, 6, 9 or 12 magnets.
  3. Upload your photos: Use fast, simple, mobile-friendly upload tool.
  4. Add extras if you like: Want to include a song or voice note? select our Add upgrade if you want to and bring your memories to life. Need it gift wrapped? We can do that too!
  5. We handcraft and ship your order to you: We’ll curate your magnets by hand and ship them straight to your door, lovingly packaged and fridge-ready.

Choosing photos that 'pop' as magnets

Not all photos are magnet-ready. The quality of your magnets will reflect the quality of the photos you upload. For best results, we recommend clear, well-lit images with minimal filters. Close-up shots and high-resolution files (under 10MB) tend to print beautifully.

Magnets are 5cm x 5cm so select images which look good as a square shape. You will be able to adjust the position of your images and they are cropped to shape during the upload process.

Please note, we are not responsible for poor print outcomes resulting from low-quality, blurry, or heavily filtered photos.

How many magnets are in a set?

You can choose a set of 3, 6, 9 or 12 magnets.

What if I want more than your set size?

You can add multiple sets to your order from across the same, or different, Edits. If you are after bulk magnets please reach out to us at hello@memoriamagnetcompany.co.nz and we will be more than happy to help.

What size are the magnets?

Each magnet is approximately 5cm x 5 cm

Do you do gift wrapping?

Yes we do, please select Gift Wrapping as an Add-on and we will take care of the rest

What is the Bring Your Memories to Life Add-on?

It’s a little piece of magic! We embed a link of your choice into the magnet that lets you tap the magnet with your phone and hear a voice message or song. Great for gifts, memory triggers, or just a little surprise moment. See the Add on section below for more questions about how this works.

Do you offer gift cards?

Sure do! Perfect for birthdays, weddings, or just because. Find them in the shop. Gift cards are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase.



How do I care for my magnets?

  • Keep them flat and dry
  • Wipe them with a soft cloth now and then to keep them looking their best
  • Avoid direct sunlight for long lasting vibrancy
  • Show them love, they're sturdy, but not indestructible and will get scratched by sharp objects

How long will it take to arrive?

We aim to craft and ship your magnets in 1-5 business days. You will get email updates along the way once your order has shipped with tracking information. Please be aware that during peak times e.g. Valentines, Easter, Christmas etc courier times may vary. Unfortunately once the courier has picked it up timings are out of our control.

Do you ship internationally?

Right now our website is only set up to ship within New Zealand, however if you are outside NZ, send us a message to hello@memoriamagnetcompany.co.nz and we can sort something out

Bring your Memories to Life - Add-on

What is the Add-on?

It’s a tiny piece of magic that lets us embed a link of your choice into your magnet. When you tap the magnet with your phone you will hear a voice message or song, or a link to a website will appear - depends on what link you choose to upload. Great for gifts, memory triggers, or just a little surprise moment.

How does it work?

We write your chosen voice note or song link onto a tiny NFC tag, then carefully embed it into your magnet. When someone taps the magnet with a compatible phone, it opens the audio file or web link instantly—no app required!

What kind of links can I embed in my magnet?

You can choose to add:

  • A saved audio file from your Google Drive such as a personal voice message (e.g. “I love you”, a child’s laugh, a story)
  • A link to a song or playlist (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, etc.)
  • A link to a website

How do I share the voice note or song with you?

Once you add the Add-On to your order, we’ll guide you through a super simple upload form.

If you are uploading a link from your Google Drive please make sure the setting is set to “Anyone with the link can view” (or “Anyone with the link can access”, depending on your Google Drive’s phrasing).

How to do that:

  1. Open the file in Google Drive
  2. Click the Share button (usually top right)
  3. Under "General Access", click the dropdown
  4. Select "Anyone with the link"
  5. Ensure it says "Viewer"
  6. Click "Copy Link" then paste it into your upload form



Will my magnet still look the same?

Yes! The tag we embed is tiny and hidden behind the design, so your magnet will look just as sleek and beautiful as always.

Do I need a special app to play the audio?

Nope! Just tap the magnet with your phone. Most modern phones (both Android and iPhone) will automatically open the link or file in your browser.

Please note, if you choose to embed a link to a site which you access through a paid subscription the person scanning the magnet will also need an account to access the link in full. Some sites, e.g. spotify will still show and play the song through the link you embed but they will only play a portion of the song if you do not have an account (although for Spotify a free account is enough)

Can I update the content later?

At the moment, content is locked once written to protect your memory and privacy. If you want to update it later, we suggest ordering a fresh magnet!

Are all phones compatible with this magic?

Most newer smartphones are, but a few older models might not support it. If you’re unsure, a quick online search of your phone model + “NFC” will confirm it.

How long will the link last?

The NFC tag is passive and doesn’t require batteries, it will last for thousands of plays.

Is the Add-On waterproof?

The magnet is sealed with a protective matte layer, but it’s not designed to go in water. A splash here or there is okay, but best to keep it dry for long-lasting magic.

Why is my magnet not scanning?

We quality check all NFC enabled magnets are working before we send them out so here are a few quick things to check to start with:

  • Make sure NFC is turned on in your phone’s settings.

    Tap the magnet near the top/back of your phone, where the NFC sensor is usually located (it varies by model).

    Hold your phone steady for a moment—some phones take a few seconds to read the tag.

    If you’re using an iPhone, NFC usually only works when the screen is on and unlocked.

  • Still no luck? Try a different phone (most newer models support NFC). If it works on another phone, your device might not be compatible.
  • If you’ve tried all that and it’s still not working, don’t stress—just get in touch and we’ll help you out!
